Ann Teston Keene, 90, of Brunswick, passed away August 20, 2022, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Combs officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time.  A private burial will be held at Taylor's United Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Keene was born June 20, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, GA., to Rhoda and Ward Teston, Sr. and lived in Brunswick most of her life. She was a 1952 graduate of Glynn Academy, and a charter member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Quilting Group and the Genesis Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Keene was the consummate mom, grandmother and homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.  Through the years, she would work tirelessly in her vegetable and flower gardens, sew clothes for her family and create fabulous dishes in the kitchen.  She also enjoyed having conversations with all she would meet.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Keene was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Hollis Keene, Sr.; one brother, Donald Teston; four sisters, Thelma Teston, Nellie Drury, Ruby Leard, Ethel Mead; Son-In-Law, Glenn Mikell.

Survivors include her children, Hollis Keene, Jr., (Pat) and Karen Mikell, all of Brunswick; a brother, Ward Teston, Jr. (Sara); sisters, Mary Jo Teston and Joyce Haimovitz, all of Brunswick and Joan Sanborn of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Laura Miller, Joshua Mikell (Sue), Ashley Gibbs (David), Alisha Richardson (Ben); eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Lakeside United Methodist Church, 5572 New Jesup Highway, Brunswick, GA 31523.
