Anna Steele, 92, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Folkston Park Health Care.

Anna was born July 26, 1933, in Pineville, KY, to Floyd Thomas Broughton and Callie Carr Broughton.  She had lived in Baltimore, MD, until the age of 15, when she moved to Brunswick.  While in Brunswick, she had worked in food service at Twin Oaks BBQ, the snack bar at Jekyll Pharmacy, and Jekyll Island Island Convention Center.

Survivors include her children, Michael D. Steele (Mary), Melody Steele, all of Brunswick, and Shawna Steele Hanson (Don) of Townsend, grandchildren; Jessica Steele Wilkinson (Matthew), Michael Steele (Jordan), Callie Steele Cline (Keith), Whittney Hanson, Tyler Hanson, Amber Leigh Louden, Chad Scott Cooper, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, George S. Steele, and siblings, Margaret Howard, Mildred Kinchen, Thomas Broughton, and Paul Taylor.

Private services will be held at a later date.
