Arthur 'Artie' Eugene Anderson, Sr., 65, of Darien, passed away Wednesday in Darien.

Artie was born April 14, 1958, in Waycross to Eugene Talmadge Anderson and Bobbie Sue Fairley Anderson.  He had lived most of his life in South Georgia including Waycross, Brunswick, and Darien.  He had been a residential carpenter for many years, having worked with Hardaway Construction.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 11:00am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, burial will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery with Alan Dixon, Russy Moody, Jordan Corbin, Tommy Lockhart, Russell Moody, Dylan Howard.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday May 30, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include his children, Little Artie Anderson (Christine), Bill Anderson (Danielle), Meia Slusher (Ron), Adrianna Anderson, bonus children, Leslie Ferrell (Ashley), Thomas Menden (Tessa), all of Darien, brothers, John Anderson of Darien, sisters, Susan Snyder of St. Marys, Tanya Steele (Rick) and Joann Stevenson all of Nevada, grandchildren, Elyse Anderson, A.J. Anderson, Tennell Anderson, Sissy Anderson, Ridge Anderson, Donathan Fabie, Jazmine 'Love Bug' Bartush, Landen Slusher, Bailey Slusher,  Aubriella Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In a addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Anderson, his siblings, Sandra Gordon, Lynn Wolfe, and Butch Anderson.
