Babbie Sirena McDowell

Babbie Sirena McDowell, born November 11, 1970, passed away on August 25, 2026. "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"2 Corinthians 5:8

She was born to the late James Alexander “J.A. aka Mac” McDowell and the late Carlene Ammons McDowell, affectionately known as “Madame Rue.” Babbie was also lovingly raised with the support of her stepfather, Terry A. Long, and her grandfather, “Poppa Joe”, Joseph G. Wright, who served as her beloved, caretaker, and taxi driver.

Babbie was the proud mother of four beautiful children: Chaz Joseph Dowling, Keith Kaden Dowling, Alexis Elizabeth Dowling, and Elainie Luree Dowling. She was also a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren.

She leaves her five siblings: LuV McDowell-Bailey, Collin A. McDowell, Cory E. McDowell, Terry Anthony Gilchrist, and Jewelette ”Jewelz” Isabella Amari, along with many relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Babbie was a lover of God and people, living her life as a true example of the commandment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Her loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

We will celebrate Babbie Sirena McDowell’s life on Sunday, October 11, 2026, we will receive guest at 3pm and the celebration will commence at 3:30pm at the Chapman Event Center, 6045 Golden Isles Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
