Barbara Jean Shadron, 82, of St. Simons Island, passed away late Thursday evening at Heritage Oaks of St. Simons Island.

Jean was born October 7, 1942, in Jacksonville, Florida to Genero and Eva Kate Lewis Batuyong.  She had lived in Brunswick most of her life, attending St. Joseph's Catholic School, and had worked at The Diana Shop, Grants, and King Shrimp Company.  Jean enjoyed fishing, and playing cards.

A service to celebrate Jean's life will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 3:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with James Vivenzio officiating.

Survivors include her sons, John Duncan of Brunswick, James 'Rodwich' Duncan (Kathy) of Waynesville, grandchildren, Aaron Duncan, Kasey Lynn Zagorski (John), Jonathan Duncan, and Joshua Duncan (Angela). Great grandchildren, James, Colvin, Russell, and Austin.

Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
