Betty Anne Boone Brown, born August 30, 1932 in Glennville, Tattnall County, Georgia, died August 27, 2021, in Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Edward Brown, parents, Oren Jackson and Elsie Lee Boone, brother Robert G. Boone and sister-in-law Geneva Sears Boone.

Survivors include: her daughter Stephanie Joanne Brown Thompson and son-in-law Gregory John Thompson of Brunswick; grandchildren Bridgette Logan Thompson Culpepper (Brandon Solomon Culpepper) of Morven, Georgia;  Gregory "John" Thompson, Jr. and Travis Joseph Thompson of Brunswick;  great-grandchildren Boone Solomon Culpepper and Bellamie Leanne Culpepper of Morven, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Betty was a dedicated and devoted daughter, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put the needs of others ahead of herself and provided selfless service to others.  She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various positions throughout the years.  She retired after 34 years of service at Babcock and Wilcox.  She also retired from Rich Sea Pak after 12 year of service.  Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and constantly serving others .

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021, 10:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Corey Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
