Betty Sue Caroll, 73, of Darien, passed away Friday June 24, 2022 peacefully at the home of her daughter Barbara.

Services will be held from the grave site at Whispering Pines Cemetery, 10:00am, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, with Pastor Jacob West, Jr. officiating.

Betty was born in Jesup, GA, and had lived in Darien since 1969.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed working on her yard, thrifting, and loved pets.

She is survived by her children, Larry A. Caroll and Douglas Wayne Caroll, both of Darien, and Barbara Sawyer (Reggie) of Valona, grandchildren; Michael McClellan, Lauren Caroll, Travis Williams, and Jessie Gillis, 5 great grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Cap Smith and Billie Pearl King, a son, Keith Caroll, brothers, Clint Aldridge, Tommy Smith, James Smith, and David King, and her grandparents, William & Mildred Haddock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to HART Animal Rescue of Darien.
