Betty Cason, 81, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.  A private interment will be held at a later date in Palmetto Cemetery.

Betty was born October 10, 1942, in Toombs County to William Riley Johnson and Hazel Irene Carroll Johnson.  She had lived most of her life in Brunswick, and had been employed in Housekeeping with Days Inn of Brunswick.  She loved birds and all animals, and enjoyed her garden and flowers.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Cason, Sr. of Brunswick, their children, Michael Cason (Angela), of Alabama, Ray Cason, Jr., (Heather), James Cason, and Randall Cason, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Caroline Carbonaro (Edward), Spencer Cason, Jessica Hall (Shandi), and Zach Hall (Melissa), great grandchildren, Charlotte, Maleah, Joshua, Isiah, Esmeralda, Skylar, Safira, Casey, Stetson, Audrey, and Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Georgia Audubon Society.
