Billy R. Bradley, 79, of Brunswick, passed away March 10, 2018, at his residence.
A service to celebrate his life, will be held, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 6:30 PM, with Rev. Jim McIlrath officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Inurnment with military honors, will be held, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 10:00 am, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Glennville.
Mr. Bradley was born January 31, 1939, in Union, MS, to Jesse Webster Bradley and Martha Louise Taylor Bradley. He was a 1957 graduate of Nichols High School in Nichols, GA, and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam. He received an Associates Degree in Theology from Young Harris College, a Masters Degree from Austin Peay State University. He was a 32 degree Mason with Cross Plains Lodge 627 F&AM of Cross Plains, TN. Mr. Bradley had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 40 years, having taught math and science at Jane Macon Middle School, Risley Middle School, Glynn Middle School, and Todd Grant Elementary. He had also been employed as Conference Coordinator and Group Sales with Epworth By The Sea for many years. He was the former pastor of Woods Grove Baptist Church in Hiawassee, GA, and New Hope Baptist Church in Adairsville, KY.
Survivors include his wife, Suzi Bradley, children, Phillip Bradley (Kim), Kati Yaseen Bradley, Michael Bradley (Kimberly) and Ayisha Bradley, all of Brunswick, and a daughter, Traci Bradley Janes-Tillman (Craige) of Jesup, grandchildren, Drake Bradley, Kayla Janes, Anna Janes, Destiny Elliott, Ariana Bradley, Journey Rae Kennedy, and William Schuler, a brother Bobby Bradley (Wanda) of Eufaula, AL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Bradley, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to any local veterans organization.
