Bobbie Louise Brown

Bobbie Brown, 94, of Darien, passed away February 24, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville.

A funeral service will be held from the gravesite at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, 11:00am.

Bobbie was born July 21, 1930, in Savannah, GA, to John Reynolds Brown and Ruby Louise Beatty Brown.  She had lived in Darien since 1955, having taught school at Darien High School and Jane Macon Middle School.  After retirement from teaching, she went to work for Darien Telephone Company until her retirement from there in 1994.

Bobbie is survived by her children; Rusty Brown, Jack Brown (Mary Lee), and Sheila Brown, all of McIntosh County, a sister; Anne Woodard of Burnsville, NC, a granddaughter; Daphne Ricks (Manet) and great granddaughter; Destiny.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel 'Teeter' Brown, Jr., and a sister; Johnnie Sumner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to H.A.R.T. Animal Rescue.
