Obituary

Cardon Newman "Jughead" Taylor 86, passed away peacefully, on November 14, 2023, at Hospice Golden Isles, while surrounded by family. Born on January 1, 1937, in Brunswick, GA. Jug was one of eight siblings. He attended Glynn Academy and then joined the United States Marine Corps. After returning home, he married Connie Foster Taylor, in June 1958.

Jug was employed at Babcock and Wilcox for 20 years and then worked at Brunswick Pulp and Paper Mill where he retired after 21 years. His favorite job was his time spent at Regency Custom Homes.

He will be remembered for his enjoyment of NASCAR, Boating, and Fishing and his Legacy was his unconditional love for his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Taylor, daughter, Mary Sue Harper (Lex),  son, Tab Taylor, sister, Lillie Bennett, grandchildren, Ryan Harper, Ashley Williams, Whitney Stalvey, Taylor Dixon (Kody), Tabitha Loper (John), Marandon Wray (Ben), and great-grandchildren, Ashton Williams, Reese Stalvey, Dylan Green, Lakyn Loper, Tate Wray, and Saylor Dixon.

Predeceased by Parents, James Mallon Taylor, and Mary Willie Taylor. Daughters, Claire Powell, and Tammy Stalvey. Brothers, James (Pop) Taylor and William Taylor. Sisters Florrie Hurry, Mary Will Holizna, Winifred Gully, and Brenda Allen.

Graveside Service with military honors, will be held on Monday, November 20th at 2:00 p.m. at the Palmetto Cemetery.
