Carol Ardythe Harrison (Belle Isle) White, 69, of Brunswick, passed away March 17, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, March 22, 2018, 11:00 am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Hugh Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison-Whittaker Hill Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. White was born February 15, 1949, in Brunswick, to Newman Baker Harrison and Amelia Louise Richardson Harrison. She was a 1967 graduate of Glynn Academy, earned a Masters Degree in Education from Georgia Southern University, and an Education Specialist Degree from Georgia State College. She was retired from the Wayne County Board of Education in 2009, after inspiring thousand of students. She had lived in Brunswick most of her life, have lived in Atlanta from 1974 untill 1979, and 1984 until 1985, always returning home to Brunswick. She was a member of the Waynesville Red Hat Society, Waynesville Quilting Society, and Retired Educators.
Survivors include her daughters, Emily Sharon White of Brunswick, and Victoria Catherine Bridges 9Terry) of Jesup, brothers, Neil Harrison of Thalman, Hugh Harrison and Avery Harrison, both of Hortense, 2 sisters, Mary Schwartz (David) of Hortense, and Yvonne Smith of Brunswick, 5 grandchildren, Tyler White, Russell Dinkins, Jr., Amber Dinkins, Jada Woodall, and Cameron Bridges, a great granddaughter, Avery Edwards, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Harrison and Rodney Harrison, and a sister Shirley Harrison
