Catherine Myrel Jones, 82, of Brunswick, passed away August 28, 2023, at the home of her granddaughter in Bradenton, FL

Private funeral services were held at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with interment being held at Palmetto Cemetery.

Catherine was born in Brunswick, October 28, 1940, to Dave and Myrel Martin Copeland.  She had lived all of her life in Brunswick and was a member of Norwich Street Church of God.  She was also the owner and operator with her husband, Sonny Jones, of the former Old South Restaurant.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed watching soap operas, shopping at Walmart and Goodwill, and good food and sweets.

Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Delise (Pete) of Bradenton, FL, and Holly Marshall of Brunswick, GA, grandchildren, Blair Lyons (Bryce), Kayla Ferrell, Alexis Copeland, Deborah Marshall, and Nikki Marshall, 9 great grandchildren, and cousins Ardie Dane Dyal (Ellen) of Baxley, and Farris Dyle (Angie) of Baxley.
