Cathy Lynn Eaton, 73, of Glynn County, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Southeast Georgia Health System.

Services to celebrate Cathy's life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. (Casual Attire Please)

Survivors include her sisters Dawne Eaton Hudson (Herman) of Brunswick, Nancy Reinsberg (Jeff) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Samantha Benton (Michael) of Brunswick, three nieces (Alison DallaValle, Lindsay Orchard, and Megan Hill (Haven)), one nephew (Robert Benton (Mackenzie)), and four great nieces. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Fannie Eaton, her brother, Reggie Eaton, and her nephew, James DallaValle.

Cathy was born March 15, 1951, in Williamson, WV to Arnold James and Fannie Smith Eaton. Coming from Covington, VA, she had lived in Brunswick since 1963 and attended Glynn County Schools, graduating from Glynn Academy with the Class of 1969. Cathy attended Brunswick Junior College and then Georgia Southern graduating with her master's in education degree and an Education Specialist degree. She taught school in the Glynn County School System and Alleghany County Public Schools in Virginia and retired after 35 years. She then spent 5 years as a Student-Teacher Evaluator for the College of Coastal Georgia. Cathy was an avid reader, she enjoyed musicals and Harry Potter, and loved all animals.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Cathy's name to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.
