Charles Edward Williams born June 16, 1937, passed away Peacefully at his residence under Your Family Hospice Care Monday the 23rd of February at the age of 88. He leaves behind his son Patrick Williams, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as his caretaker/ Friend Tanya Darly. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Janie Williams.

Charles grew up on a farm in Sylvania, GA and attended Double Head Baptist Church. He was the youngest of 18 children. His best friend was his next oldest brother, Billy Williams.

At the age of 16, he set his sights on greater ambitions and left the farm to own and operate the largest Sinclair gas station in the south in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. From there, he started a barbecue restaurant near Bankhead Hwy, later a video store, which was in competition with Block Buster as well as a grocery store, and various other business endeavors.

Beyond all this, his greatest pride was the marriage of his wife Judith (Judy) and his 5 children, Greg, John, Joseph, Jennifer, and Patrick and his grandchildren Justin Cleary, Charlie Williams, Steven Williams, and Michael Williams.  And their Great Grandson Oliver Williams.
