Cheryl Nobles Morris, 76, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday from 9:00am until 11:00pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be held from the gravesite in the Ellisville Cemetery in Ellisville, MS, on Tuesday.

Cheryl was born September 2, 1947, in Laurel, MS, to Irvin and Helen Nobles.  She earned her PhD in Music from University of Southern Mississippi, and was a Professor of Music for Chadron State University and University of West Georgia, and was the Band Director for Brantley County High School, Wayne County High School, Early County High School, and Tattnall County High School
Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.  She had lived on St. Simons Island and also in Brunswick for the past 25 years.  Cheryl was a loving mother and grandmother that loved writing children's short stories and composing music.  She was an avid reader and researcher.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Teresa Morris Atcheson (Megan) of Woodstock, GA, Robin Morris of Brunswick, and David Morris (Arlene) also of Brunswick, grandchildren, Michael & Rhyan, Scarrlee, Hazel, & Gatlin, a sister, Janie Nobles of Mississippi.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willaim 'Bill' Morris, and a brother, Ben Nobles.
