Chiquita Benton Chanclor, 70, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 3:00 pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Chris Stewart, Donny Chanclor, Wallace Bare, Wayne Dodge, Craig Cupps, and Howard Harter serving as active pallbearers. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening.
Chiquita was born August 8, 1951, in Eufaula, AL, to Perry Howard and Willie Frankie Benton. Chiquita was a 1968 graduate of Warner Robins High School, and had lived in Brunswick since 1988. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ciquita is survived by her husband of 52, years, Dan Chanclor, her mother, Willie Frankie Benton of Charlotte, NC, a son, Clinton Chanclor (Kimberly) of Brunswick, a brother, Philip Benton (Michelle), of Olympia,Washington, a sister, Anita Benton of Charlotte, NC, and grandchildren, Gregory Chanclor of Cartersville, GA, and Cameron Chanclor of Naples, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Howard Benton, her son, Shannon Che' Chanclor, and brothers, Rex and Bruce Benton.
