Clyde Edgar Evans, 88, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, 4:00 pm, at Bible Baptist Church with Brother Mike Landrum officiating.  The family will be receiving friends from 3:00pm until service time.  Private interment with military honors will be held in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Glenville.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class of Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Clay Evans (Debbie) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Shannon Wood (Kevin) of Augusta, Jennifer Taylor (Brad) of Hephzibah, Phillip Evans (Sara) of Pooler, Jami Voyles of Guyton, great grandchildren, Karly Wood, Justin Wood, Mason Voyles, Casen Voyles, Greyson Evans, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ramona Goodwin Evans, a daughter, Laura Pennington,10 siblings and a son-in-law Troy Pennington.

Clyde was born August 8, 1935, in Argillite, KY, to James McGuire Evans and Cora Shaffer Evans, and had lived in Brunswick since 1957.  He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, the Men's Sunday School Class, and was a graduate of Bible Baptist Institute.  He was a diesel mechanic, retiring from Carlton Company and Marine Port Terminal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Bible Baptist Church Mission Fund.
