Daniel Vincent Benedetto 49, of Brunswick, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, Friday, June 18, 2021.

Born Jan. 8, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Vincent and Virginia Benedetto, he had lived in Brunswick for the past 10 years. He was passionate about golf, having began golfing with his father at the age of 5, and winning numerous tournaments throughout Texas and North Carolina. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he was on the golf team, graduating with a bachelor's degree in political science. After moving to Brunswick, he worked as a caddie for the Brunswick Country Club and Sea Island Resorts, as well as having private clientèles.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Vincent and Beth Benedetto of Salisbury, North Carolina; sisters, Sharon Susco (David) of Grantham, New Hampshire, Julie Cha (Michael) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Hannah Waller of Hickory, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Pierce, Paige, Palmer, Virginia, Zachary, Ethan and Elizabeth; and his closest lifelong friend, Tripp Edwards of Salisbury, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Pierce Benedetto.
