Daniel Pearson Drummond, 84, of Brunswick, passed away December 14, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems Senior Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, 11:00am, from the gravesite at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Blackshear with Brother Tommy Davis officiating.  Nathan Southers, Walt Lanier, Daniel Drummond, David Drummond, John Drummond, and Huey Davis will serve as active pallbearers,  A visitation for family and friends will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel, Monday, December 18, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00pm.

Daniel was born October 22, 1939, in Bacon County to Charner Augustus Drummond and Opal Pearson Drummond.  He was a 1957 graduate of Bacon County High School, and attended South Georgia College in Douglas, GA.  Coming from Albany, GA, he had lived in Brunswick for the past 60 years.  He enjoyed charter fishing, and being on the water with his family, which is where the family found their love for everything our oceans and rivers offer.  Daniel worked as a type setter with the Brunswick News for numerous years.

Survivors include his children, Larry Davis Drummond (Brenda Faye), and Sara Ortiz, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Larry Dewayne Drummond, Nikki Renee Southers (Nathan), John Davis Drummond (Belle), Daniel Jay Drummond, Marina Denise Ortiz, Lindsey Noel Ortiz, and  great-grandchildren, Lilly, Peyton, Houston, and Zoey, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Augustus Drummond.
