David Lamar McDowell passed away on March 6, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, who spent his life working hard and providing for the people he loved.

David was known as a hardworking man who believed deeply in taking care of his family. Through dedication and perseverance, he built a life centered on responsibility, loyalty, and love for those closest to him.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time on the water. Whether he was hunting or fishing, he found peace and happiness being outside and surrounded by nature. He also was a very elaborate storyteller that would have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation.

David is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his daughter, Donna and her husband Clay; his son, Andrew; his grandson, Drew; his granddaughter Cheyenne; and his siblings, Ben; Frank; Cathy; and Diane. He will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, and the quiet way he showed love through the life he built for his family.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
