David E. Wood, 53, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday at Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA.

David was born August 22, 1971, in Toms River, NJ, to James Hope Wood and Loretta Ann Berg Wood.  He had lived in Brunswick for the past 30 years, attending Glynn Academy.  David was a Master Plaster Mason with Benji Hutchinson Stucco and Padgett Tabby & Stucco.  He enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical and was a jack-of-all trades that could fix almost anything.

Survivors include his wife; Sherry Wood of Brunswick, children; Danyell Wood (William Justice) of Waycross, Amber King (Aaron) of Brunswick, David Wood, II (Paige Cargile) of Brunswick, Samantha Wood (Austin Meyer) of Hortense, sisters; Alison Page of Waynesville, and Faith Wood of Hortense, grandchildren; Gracie, Alyssa, Gabriel, Kasey, Taelyn, Lilly, Reese, Lane, Adrianna, and Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Morgan Pate.

Private services will be held at a later date.
