David Lee Yeomans, 63, of Mershon, GA passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Memorial Health of Savannah after a brief illness.
Born November 23, 1957 in Waycross, to Patsy Ruth Haynes and Olen Lee Yeomans, he lived in south GA his entire life. David graduated from Patterson High School in 1976. He was Baptist by faith, and attended Bristol Baptist Church. By trade, David was an saw mill operator at Gillman Building Products for thirty-three years, from which he retired in 2005, as well as a Correctional officer at Ware State Prison. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and working in his garden. His greatest love was that of his family. He is preceded in death, by two brothers, John and Eric Yeomans, and two sisters Patsy and Karen Yeomans.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Teri Yeomans of Mershon, five daughters, Maggie Harrell (Marc) of Brunswick,
Dana Steedly of Blackshear, Kristy Chancey (Josh), Brittany Wilson (Amber), Kimberly Poland (Tim); all of Waycross, a brother Billy Yeomans, of Waycross, a brother in-law, James Thomas (Beth) of Brunswick and a father in-law Jim Thomas (Rose) of Florida, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two nephews.
A service to honor his life will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am, a viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time at 10.
