Denise Lynn "Momma" Griffin Herndon, 62, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Health System - Brunswick.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Denise was born November 2, 1962, in Blackshear, GA to Andrew Jackson Griffin, Jr., and Daisy Smith Griffin.  She had lived in Brunswick since 1966.  She was a 1980 graduate of Glynn Academy, and had worked at The Strike Zone for the past 8 years.  Denise was full of life, and loved her grandchildren, she was a big fan of anything Scooby Doo, and loved the color purple.  She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed collecting refrigerator magnets, as she would always ask her traveling family and friends to bring her one from their adventures.

Denise is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wallace Herndon, children, Delynda Campbell (Jesse), of Brunswick, and Joseph Herndon (Desiree), of Woodbine, a brother, Andy Griffin (Karen) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Vivien Campbell, and Everly & Dylan Herndon, nephews, Casey Griffin, and Carson Griffin (Layla).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to No Kill Glynn County, or Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.
