Obituary

Dewitt "Edward" Howe, 76, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Edward was born on December 29, 1945, to Dewitt and Lorine Medders Howe.  Edward grew up in the Thalmann Community and was a 1964 graduate of Glynn Academy.  He owned and operated D. E. Howe Logging, Inc. and retired after a forty-year career. Most recently, he was a delivery driver for M. S. Delivery of Rainbow Drug Store.
Edward is survived by his wife of 28 years, Amy Whitehead Howe; his son – Danny Howe (Kelly); his daughter – Lauren Ann Thigpen (Calvin); sister, Frances Burgess; father-in-law, Amos H. Whitehead; sisters-in-law, Lydia Chauncey, Anna Weaver (John), and Leslie Delaney (Tom); 3 grandchildren – Daniel Howe, Kody Perkins, and Austin Howe (and his mom, Candi Gibson); several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his son, Brian Howe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at a later date at Whitaker Hill Cemetery.
