Donald 'Don' L. Corbitt, Jr., 66, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

A gathering to celebrate Don's life, will be held Wednesday May 10, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the Event Center of Chapman Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Operation Smile and the Healthcare Worker's Foundation .

Don was born May 11, 1956 in Brunswick, GA to Donald L. Corbitt, Sr., and Jacqueline Cooper Corbitt.  He was a 1974 graduate of Brunswick High School and went on to become a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer when he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 1979. After college, Don moved to Illinois, where he began working for John Deere Co.  Don lived in several cities throughout the United States and Mexico while working as the Director of Operations with John Deere, before retiring and returning to Brunswick in 2006.  Don enjoyed fishing, playing golf, traveling, cooking, and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Teresa L. Corbitt, children, Kasey Elizabeth Henderson of Naylor, GA, Alexander Cooper Corbitt of San Diego, CA, and Ryan Lavallee (Ashley) of St. Simons Island, grandchildren, Madison, Harper, and Emerson Lavallee, and Penelope Henderson, sisters, Kerri Brogan of St, Simons Island, and Francie Paine (Scott) of Orlando, a brother, David Corbitt of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews who affectionately call him "Uncle Donnie".
