Donald Wayne Self, 65, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Self was born in Laurens County on December 6, 1959, to the late John Edward and the late Ruth S. Self.

Don retired from Industrial Construction work, where over the years he served in various positions such as general foreman, iron worker, and boiler maker.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his spouse, Kaye Williams Self, and two sisters, Lynne Towson and Debra Yarborough.

Survivors include his furbaby, Roscoe, a sister, Glynda (David) Little, a brother, Tommy (Linda) Self, step-children, Alan (Renee) Heath of Dublin, GA, Brad (Lisa) Heath of Chattanooga, TN, Alicia Heath of East Dublin, GA and Christopher Heath of Gordon, GA, and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel in Brunswick, Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 5 - 7:00 PM

Funeral Services for Mr. Self will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 1:00pm., in the chapel of Townsend Funeral Home in Dublin, GA, with burial to follow in the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Cadwell, with Pastor Greg Lowery officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
