Donna Raye Belflower Spell's Obituary
Donna Raye Belflower Spell, 59, of Brunswick, passed away February 28, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held from the grave site at Roddy Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, GA, on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:00 am, with Rev. Carolyn Belflower Goodson officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.
Donna was born February 14, 1962, in Cochran, GA to Robert Ray and Peggy Flanders Belflower. She had lived in Brunswick since 1977, and was a 1980 graduate of Glynn Academy. She was very proud of her first job, of picking tobacco and baby sitting. She had also worked First National Bank/Trust Company Bank, Eckerd Drug, The Necklace Factory, The GA Pig BBQ, Harbor Sound Newspaper, and in the terminal office of Wagoneers Trucking. She enjoyed Crochet, playing the piano, writing poetry, and loved animals. Donna was very nurturing and protective of her family. She was another mother to her siblings, and friends of her son Corey, always taking others in as her own.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents Robert and Peggy Belflower, and her son Christopher "Corey" Spell.
Donna is survived by her husband, David Steffey, sisters, Scarlett Tompkins (Ed), and Karen Belflower, and niece and nephew, Jet & Ralyn Tompkins, all of Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Donna's name to the No Kill Glynn County.
