Donna Elizabeth Rainey, 56, of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, 1:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Brother Michael Batten officiating.  Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Christopher German, Chad German, Jerry Rowell, Paul O'Berry, Bobby Stokes, and Brian Rainey serving as active pallbearers.  The family will be receiving friends at 12:00 noon, until service time.

Donna was born in Brunswick, July 29, 1967, to Rev. Ellis C. and Annie Browning Rainey.  She had lived in Brunswick all of her life, Graduating from Brunswick High School in 1985.  She attended Brunswick Junior College and was a member of Fellowship Methodist Church.  Donna was a commercial driver in the transportation industry, having worked for Greyhound Bus Lines, Sea Island, and FLETC.  She was a great gospel singer and pianist and was influential to everyone she met.  She was also a D.J. with P.O. Sound & Lighting Productions and enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.

She is survived by her forever companion, Jerry Rowell, of Waynesville, her sons, Chad German of Hinesville, and Christopher German of Brunswick, a brother, David Rainey of Beech Island, SC, a sister, Beverly Rainey Brown of Brunswick, grandchildren, Madison & Caddence German, and Abigail, Peyton, & Waylen German, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Wainright, and brothers, Tommy Rainey, Michael Rainey, and Earl Rainey
