Obituary

Dorothy Jean Strickland Hutchinson passed away quietly on April 4th at SGHS.  Dorothy was a fun-loving person known by many as "Little Granny" to many of those who were friends and family.  Dorothy loved gardening and working in her yard.  She loved to entertain and take care of kids and pets who seemed to show up at her house for one reason or the other.
Dorothy graduated Glynn Academy High School in 1961.  She was retired from Glynn County Board of Education .  Dorothy  worked at Brunswick High School as an administrative assistant. To the Guidance office and later in the Registrar's office.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Gene & Dorothy Strickland, brother Eddie and her son, Christopher Carver.  She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Jim Morrison, grandson's Robert Griner, Benton (Katie) Griner, Jordan (Madison) Carver, Jacob Carver and great - grandson, Hanes Carver.
Small graveside service held on April 8, 2021, Palmetto Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
