Douglas Glen 'Buzz' Stephens, 62, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his residence.

An informal gathering for family and friends to share stories about Glen, and visit with each other, will be held at the Event Center of Chapman Funeral Chapel, located at 6045 Golden Isles Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.  Time and date will be announced.

Glen was born December 30, 1959, to Jerry & Ernest Stephens, Sr., he had lived in Brunswick all of his life and attended Brunswick High School.  He was a tile setter for many years, and had numerous jobs over the years, with his favorite being a driver for Top Dog Wrecker Service.  He loved being around his family, his friends, and of course, the ladies.  At dinner time, Glen would show up at his niece, Amy's house, and as soon as he got to the kitchen would ask, "What ya got burning?", knowing that what ever it was, he was going to eat it, and he was going to like it!

Glen is survived by his daughter, Misti Stephens (Kenny) of Johnson City, TN, granddaughters, Peyton Elizabeth Horne, and Bristol Paige Horne, his sisters, Katherine Davis (Grover) of Brunswick, Karen Gaulien (Gary) of Waynesville, a brother, Ernest Stephens, II, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Jerry Raab, father, Ernest G. Stephens, Sr., grandparents Fannie & Buster Stephens, and Sarah Lay, and a sister, Margaret Stephens.

Glen's family would like to thank the Staff of the Oncology Unit at Southeast Georgia Health System, Natasha Kinney, RN, with Hospice of the Golden Isles, for the wonderful care given to Glen while under their care, and a very special Thank You to Jeff Emery with J & M Towing for being a great friend to Glen, and Jo Jo Whorton with Top Dog Wrecker Service, for being a great friend, and letting him ride 'shot-gun' when his health started to decline.
