Edward Millard "Pete" Culver, Jr of Saint Simons Island, Georgia unexpectedly went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. Simons United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Jones officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 at the church prior to services. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel Bartlett, Roy Boyd, Frank DeLoach, Fred Tanner, Larry Morris, Mike McKenzie, and the former Associates of Culver & DeLoach Real Estate.

Pete was born in Brunswick, GA to the late Edward Millard Culver, Sr. and Annie Rhuneze Wheeler Culver. He attended Frederica Academy prior to graduating from Glynn Academy in 1977. He later attended Georgia Institute of Technology to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He was a "star" baseball player, playing 3rd base for Glynn Academy and Georgia Tech. Pete loved sports and all things outdoors including tennis, boating, and afternoons on the beaches of the Golden Isles crabbing and cast netting. He was a member of the Rambling Wreck Club and served as a Board Member for Saint Simons United Methodist Church and First Bank of Brunswick. Pete was very involved with our community and a co-developer in numerous subdivisions on Saint Simons Island and The Great Satilla Preserve. More than anything, his children were his true pride and joy. His loving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew him. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, "Buddy" and "Roy" Culver. Left to cherish the memories of Pete, is the love of his life for 26 years, Amy Ellison Culver; his sons and daughter,  Edward Millard "Mills" Culver (Adrienne), McClain Harrison Culver, Christian Todd Ellison Culver, and Ella Meredith Bentz Culver. His sisters, Diane Culver Bailey (Jim), and Catherine Marie Culver, his nephews, niece, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
