Elisha Strom, 84, of Brunswick, formerly of Patterson, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, in Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019, 1:00 PM, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Julian Strom and Rev. Stanley Steverson officiating. A private interment will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Blackshear Cemetery in Blackshear. A visitation, for family and friends, will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to service time.
Elisha was born November 17, 1934, in Telfair County, GA, to Mary Burgess and George Washington Strom. He was a 1954 graduate of Milan High School, and started his sales career as a door to door salesman with Fuller Brush Company. He then worked in Industrial Sales most of his career, running his own company, Nu Chem Industries, since 1976, officially retiring in 2018. Elisha was a devoted Christian, who loved old time Gospel music, attending Emanuel Baptist Church in Blackshear, loved to play the piano and keyboard, and sing those Gospel songs. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and fishing.
Survivors include his daughters, Nell Murray (Tim), and Ronda Brinson (Mike), grandchildren, Blake Murray, Samantha Murray West, Mikey Brinson, Mikala Brinson, and Mikinley Brinson, Great grandchildren, Alexis West, Eli West, Carter Murray, Ryan Murray, Walker West, and Deacon Murray, a brother, Walter Julian Strom, and a sister, Yvonne Nunnold, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, his first wife, Willie Jo Bridges Strom, July 29, 2005, and his second wife, Joyce Gasque Strom, January 18, 2014.
