Elmer Harper's Obituary
Elmer Harper, 87, of Jekyll Island, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Mr. Harper had been a resident of Jekyll Island for 59 years. He was the owner of Harper Plumbing Company for over 20 years. He also developed "Harpers Joy" in which he transformed the old Brunswick Hospital into Apartments. He dearly loved his family farm in Irwin County, which he continued to maintain.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joy Harper, of Jekyll Island, and a granddaughter, Shelby Lee Thomas of St. Petersburg, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and both of his children, Kevin Lee Harper and Sheila Harper Thomas.
Private services will be held at a later date.
