Elta Mae Wilson, 82, of Waynesville, passed away, Monday, May 30, 2022, at Gracemore Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Services to celebrate Mrs. Wilson's life, will be held, Friday, June 3, 2022, 10:00 am, from the gravesite at Horse Stamp Cemetery in Waverly, with Rev. Joe Carr officiating.

Elta Mae had lived in Brantley County most of her life, however, she attended Glynn County Schools.  She was retired from Gibson's Discount Center, and later an in-home private care giver.  She was faithful to her church, Waynesville Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking and taking care of others, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Timmy Wilson (Shallen) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Timothy Wilson (Charity) of St. Simons Island, and Kala Geiger (Michael) of Augusta, a brother, Frank Carter of Brunswick, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wilson, her son, Bobby Wilson, her daughter, Melissa Wilson, and brothers, Clyde Rooks, and Johnny Rooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Waynesville Baptist Church.
