Emily Wells Bates, 76, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her residence.

A service to celebrate Emily's life will be held Friday, July 28, 2023, 10:00am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Emily was born January 26, 1947, in Hinesville, GA, to Ned Rowland Wells and Grace Howard Wells.  Coming from Hinesville, she had lived in Brunswick since 1962, and was retired from Atlantic Engineering in 2009, after 30 years of dedicated service.  She loved shopping and going to yard sales, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Regina King (Randy), of Darien, Kristi Nettles (Allen), of Brunswick, a sister, Glenda Toler of Brunswick, a brother, Nathan Wells (Connie) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Heather Gibson (Jeremiah), Stephanie Sanford (Shea), D.J. Ryals (Stephanie), Kayla Davis (Ryan), and Josey Nettles (Nikki), 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
