Enie Alton Logue, 85, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at his residence in Waynesville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022, 11:00 am with Brother Charles Smith and Brother Ritchie Self officiating at Chapman Funeral Chapel. Toby Self, Greg Logue, Dr. Charles Thomas Tucker, Dr. Duane Moores, and Roger & Theresa Callaway serving as Honorary Pallbearers. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 Monday evening.
Enie was born December 8, 1936, in Glenwood, GA, to Alton and Louise Nix Logue. He was a member of Arco Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a maintenance supervisor at Hercules, Inc., retiring in 1997 after 36 years of dedicated employment. He enjoyed his fishing, and time with his family.
Enie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara Logue, a son, David Logue of San Antonio, TX, a daughter, Rissa Douberly Self (Ritchie), of Browntown, sisters, Mable Drawdy of Kingsland, Evelyn Kinlaw of Macon, Fran Strickland of Odum, GA, sisters-in-law, Dale Logue of St. Simons Island, and Joan Logue of Waynesville, grandchildren, Marci Logue, Jared Self, Tara Logue, Alton Logue, and Sean Self, a great grandson, Matteo Pena, and numerous nieces and nephews. Enie was predeceased by his father, Alton Logue, mother, Louise Nix Logue, mother of his son David, Wynell Logue, step-son, Scott Douberly, and brothers, Hilton Logue and Robert Logue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Arco Baptist Church.
