Evangeline Liberty Spahos King, 87. of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Services to celebrate Liberty's life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, 11:00 am, at Golden Isles Christian Church with Pastor Willie Downs officiating.

Liberty was born September 23, 1935 in Fort Valley, GA, to Hercules G. Spahos and Anna Louise Sherrod Spahos.  She had lived in Brunswick for the past 30 years, and was self employed as a massage therapist.  She was a member of Golden Isles Christian Church.  She loved sending cards and hand-written notes for all occasions. she loved taking care of all of her pets and of her long-time friend Nita, and she loved to cook.  Above all, she loved Jesus, and spreading the love of Jesus' word.

Liberty is survived by her life-long friend and sister in Christ, Nita Bivins of Brunswick, a daughter, Teresa King of Coral Springs, FL, a son Philip King of Brunswick, a niece, Wendy Spahos Durham of Phenix City, AL, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in a son, Billy King, a niece, Tracy Spahos, nephews, Dennis Spahos, Andy Spahos, a brother, Hercules George Spahos, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Golden Isles Christian Church, 1940 Old Jesup Road, Brunswick, GA 31525.
