Obituary

Evelyn "Peachy" Harris Johnson, 69, of Brunswick, passed away Friday morning, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019, 1:00PM, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Drew Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Jeffrey Wallace, Aaron Pender, Sean Furmage, Wesley Parker, Kenny Crum, Joey Harris, Jr. serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda & Greg Horne, Pat Lynn, Macy & Creighton Harrell, Peggy Moore, Barbara Moody, Frances Martin, Dena Boyd, Jason Harris, Dr. Moran & Staff, Dr. Lim & Staff
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 until service time, at the funeral home.
Peachy was born Sept. 10, 1949, in Baxley, GA, to Donald Parell Harris and Madelyn Durden Harris, she had lived in Brunswick most of her life, attending Glynn Academy, Georgia Southern University, and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Peachy was a cafeteria manager at Brunswick High and later taught Commercial Foods there and retired in 1987. After retirement from Brunswick High School, she worked in several other capacities that included food and beverage management along with retail.
Peachy is survived by her children, son, Charlie Johnson (Lynn), daughters, Jenny Bell (Chris), and Margie Flowers (Craig), 8 grandchildren, C.J. Johnson, Lindsay Johnson (Jeffrey), Taylor Johnson (Aaron), Austin Bell (Lindsay), Avery Bell, Chandler Strean, Kelsee Johnson (Skyler Partin, Sr.), and Callen Flowers, 4 great-grandchildren, Colin Willis, Ryleigh Wallace, Tymberly Wallace, and Skyler Partin, Jr., 3 sisters, Betty Cook, Shelia Parker (Johnny), and Marie "Tootsie" Harris, 2 brothers, Parell Harris (Helen), Joey Harris, Sr.(Linda), many special cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews with special mention to Lydia Reynolds and Jennifer Ogden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walton 'Pug' Johnson, brother, Danny Harris, his wife Jean, brother Shelby Harris.
