Flemon 'F.A,' Alan Hale, Jr. 82, of Brunswick, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from his home in Brunswick.
F.A. was born in Brunswick, GA on July 25, 1939. He attended Glynn Academy, and was retired from the United States Navy as an electrician and deep sea diver. He also retired from Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN, as a team leader, along with his wife, Wilma. F.A. was a long-time member of Emanuel United Methodist Church. F.A. and Wilma had many adventures over their 62 years of marriage, and he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was often referred to as the Energizer Bunny, because he never stopped working. He loved working, gardening, cooking, fishing, golf, NASCAR, and Georgia sports, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Son of the late Fleming Alvin Hale and Hazel Hale Reddick, in addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers, Joe, Gene, and Wayne Hale, and a sister, Kay Hale Mosley. He is survived by, the love of his life, Wilma Ross Hale of 62 years, their children, Alan Hale (Carla), Andy Hale (Lynn), Scott Hale (Edna), and Kim Hale Adcock (Brian), 9 grandchildren,16 great grandchildren, a sister, Debbie Hale Madray (Wendell), brothers, Chris Hale, and Mike Hale (Charlene), and a brother-in-law, Hoyt Mosley, many nephews and nieces, his childhood friend, Joe Grange, along with many other great friends over the years, and his precious dog, Jolene.
Services, with military honor, to celebrate F.A's life, will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 11:00 am, at Emanuel United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Sharpe officiating. A visitation for family and friend will be held from 10:00am until service time.
