We wish to mourn the passing of Frances (Fran) June Jalomstein Daniel. Fran, a vibrant soul,

lived a long and beautiful life, her energy and spunk never dimming. She was a bundle of joy,

always ready to brighten our days, and she has left an indelible mark on all our hearts.

Fran was born to Rose Buddy and David Jalomstein on June 17, 1931, in the Bronx in New York City.

As an only child, she was made to feel extremely special.

Although she moved to the south, she remained a steadfast New Yorker.

Fran met her husband, Stu, while he was in the Air Force, and they married and settled in

Brunswick. Stu and Fran raised four children—with the assistance of Johnnie B. Drayton and

their "neighborhood village"—in Country Club Park. She was an active mother, attending many

of her children's events and cheering them on. Fran was a hairdresser, building lasting

relationships with her clients for many years. At age 40, she went to college to pursue her

lifelong dream of becoming an RN in medical and behavioral health. She was one of the nurses

who opened the SICU at the local hospital, and later, she worked at Charter by the Sea. Her

colleagues say Fran was a great nurse and mentor. She retired in 1991 and began

the journey of helping raise her grandchildren.

Fran was incredibly proud of her Jewish heritage, and she set a shining

example for he r family and friends through her 12-step recovery for nearly 30 years.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stu, Son, Scott, and grandson, Cole, as

well. She was survived by her daughter, Daryl (Danny), and sons, Gregg (Wanda) and Reese

(Susan). Her other family members include her grandchildren, Kaydee (Jared), Cody, Stewart,

Christy (Marc), Sommer (JP), Stone (Joy), Lee, and her great grandson, Cayden.

Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene,  Services are being re-scheduled, and will be announced.
