Obituary

George Damrill 82, born August 8,1942, in Pitcher, Oklahoma to Jess and Jeanie Damrill passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and adorning grandfather. After graduating from Azusa Pacific University in 1966, he served in the United States Army as a Lieutenant in the 5th Special Forces during the Vietnam War.  In 1968 he was wounded and returned back to the United States.  He was retired from the Army in 1971 because of his wounds.  He was then employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 25 years serving in  Lompoc, California, Terre Haute, Indiana, and the Law Enforcement Training Center, Brunswick, Georgia.

George is survived by is loving wife of 56 years Robin; a daughter and son-in law Amy and Chris Marsh of Gypsum, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Megan Damrill of Mishawaka, Indiana; grandchildren Addison and Christopher Marsh; Brody and Bailey Damrill.  Robin and family wish to thank the staff of Sears Manor for the loving and kind care to George during the last few weeks of his life.

Arrangements are being made for him to be buried in a National Cemetery at a later date.
