George Arthur Leotis' Obituary
George Arthur Leotis, 68, of St. Simons Island, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Hospice of The Golden Isles.
Born August 1,1954 to Pondelee Arthur and Mary Lucy Moore Leotis in Brunswick, GA, George was a life-long Glynn County resident. A carpenter by trade, George attended Glynn Academy, and was a graduate of Sanford Naval Academy Class of 1972. In his spare time George enjoyed being on the water, especially surfing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christina Leotis Zimmer (Joel) of Sherman Oaks, CA, George Leotis Lott (Katelyn) of Atlanta, GA, siblings, Susan Owens (Steve) of Brunswick, Arthur Leotis (Chris) of Brunswick, John Leotis (Kim) of Warner Robbins, Lynne L. Shehee of St. Simons Island, and grandchildren, Calen, Leah, and Brady Zimmer, Lily Lott and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George's name to Hospice of the Golden Isles: 1692 Glynco Pkwy Brunswick, GA 31525, or the Surfrider Foundation.
Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
