George 'Dennis' Selph, 78, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:30-6:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Dennis was born February 11, 1947, to Dallas "Bud" R. Selph and Delores " Dori" Kern Selph.  He attended Glynn Academy, where he was a member of the Glee Club, graduating with the Class of 1966.  Dennis was retired from Brunswick Pulp and Paper Company.  After retirement he worked as a school bus driver with the Glynn County Board of Education.  He was a Southern Gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor, he loved cooking, traveling, and doing ceramics, which led him to open a ceramic shop, where he sold ceramics, and taught others the joy of the art.  Dennis was a Jack-of-all-Trades and was very smart with his hands, including electrical work, art, and of course ceramics.

Dennis is survived by his brother-in-law, Danny Wright, a nephew, Daniel Wright, nieces, Holly Diamond and Ashley Asby, numerous cousins, and his 101-year-old aunt.   In addition to his parents; Bud and Dori Selph, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Poppell Selph, his brother, Dallas R. Selph, Jr., and his sister, Susan Wright.
