Gregory Brian Doke, 46, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, July 1,2024.

Gregory Brian Doke was born August 13, 1977, in Brunswick, Georgia, to Wayne and Faye Dixon Doke. He was a 1995 Honor Graduate of Brunswick High School, having been involved in Band, Production Company, Model UN, Beta Club, Rising Surf, and FBLA. He graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Performance and a Master of Music Education in Vocal Performance. He participated locally in the Messiah at Wesley UMC for several years as well as other singing groups. While in Valdosta, he actively sang and/or performed with many organizations and area churches. Greg was an Eagle Scout and a former member of Lakeside UMC. Greg is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Lou and Melvin Alex (T. I.) Dixon, and by his paternal grandparents, Ione Doke Naves and Ray R. Doke.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Jeff Doke and wife Susan, his niece, Margaret Emmaline (Emma) Doke, and his nephew, Eric Lanier Doke. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive.

There will be a visitation at Chapman Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 16, from 5-7 PM. Burial will be Wednesday, July 17, 11:00 AM at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County. Remembrances can be made to a charity of donor's choice.
