Gwendolyn "Gege"
Ann Nettles
Aug 13, 1967 — Jan 15, 2026
Gwendolyn "Gege" Ann Nettles, 58, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, 10:00am at Turning Point Church with Pastor Justin Long and Brother Jack Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Strickland Cemetery in Patterson. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
Gege was born August 13, 1967, in Valdosta, GA, to Howard Edward Cox, Sr. and Patricia Ann Strickland Cox. She had lived in Brunswick since 1969, attending Glynn County Schools and graduating with the Class of 1985 from Brunswick High School. Gege had worked at the Georgia Pine Federal Credit Union, New Life Sanctuary, and most recently worked with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office. She was an active member of Turning Point Church.
Family was everything to Gege. She genuinely loved her family and friends. Holidays were louder, gatherings were funnier, and memories were richer because of her. Gege had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and unconditionally loved. She shared a deep bond with her parents and siblings until she went to her heavenly home.
Gege's greatest joy was being a mother. She had a talent for making her children's lives special by turning the smallest moments into treasures. Her love for her boys was unconditional and endless. Becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest blessings in life. She cherished her role as "Honey Gege" in the lives of Jaxon and Lola.
Gege is survived by her children, Logan Nettles, and Skyler AJ Nettles (Gloria), grandchildren, Jaxon Nettles & Lola Ann Nettles, parents, Eddie and Patricia Cox, siblings, Howard Cox (Jessica), Bonnie Dent (Gerald), Wendee Kennedy (Dewayne), nieces and nephews, Marshall & Makenzie Cox, Chamberlain & Alina Dent, Jack, Isabelle, Gracee, and Mary Margaret Kennedy.
At Gege's request, to celebrate her life, she had requested that everyone in attendance be joyful and wear your favorite colors.
