James Patrick Daniel of Brunswick, GA, passed away on Wednsesday, July 12th, at the age of 84. He was born on August 16, 1938  in Sylvester, GA. He graduated from North Georgia College in 1960 and commissioned as an officer in the Regular Army.  He served as an artilleryman and paratrooper in the 82d Airborne Division, 4th Infatnry Division, and with the 25th Infantry Division in combat operations in Vietnam 1966-67. He left the Army in 1969 and began a career with IBM until he retired as Branch Manager with the President's Trophy in 1996. He later worked for H&R Block for 20 years. He enjoyed running and gardening in his younger years, and reading and spending time with family as he grew older.

He is survived by his wife Joanna (Jan) B. Daniel, sons James (Jim) P. Daniel and John H. Daniel, and his daughter Elisabeth D. Wagner. He loved his children and granddaughters Christina, Allison, Madison, Olivia, Anna Kate, Emily and Grace.

A Mass to celebrate the life of James Patrick Daniel will be held Friday, August 11, 2023, 1:00pm, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, with Father Tim McKeown officiating.
