James 'Joey' Jospeh Devlin, III, 54, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12:00 noon, at Golden Isles Christian Church with Brother Joe Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery at Gardi, with Craig Richburg, Roger Coiner, Cliff Browning, Rodger Johnson, Gage Mullen, and Kirk Branch serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Employee's of Glynn County Public Works. A visitation for family and friends, will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.
Joey was born October 19, 1963, in Brunswick, to James Joseph Devlin, Jr., and Betty Ann Kicklighter Devlin, he was a 1983 graduate of Glynn Academy, and a member of Golden Isles Christian Church, where he also served as a Deacon. He had been employed with Glynn County Public Works for over 29 years. Joey enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a dedicated family man, was very kind hearted, and was always willing to help those in need.
Joey is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margaret 'Prissy' Devlin, daughters, Tiffany Devlin Sellers (Dakota), and Tabitha Devlin, a brother Troy Devlin (Michelle), a sister, Angie Devlin, an uncle Harry Devlin (Missy), an aunt 'Ma' Juanita Devlin, and several nieces and nephews. Joey was preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Devlin, Jr., and his mother Betty Ann Kicklighter Crumb.
