James 'Jim' Knight,58, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, February 11,2024 at his residence.

Jim was born April 21,1965 in Brunswick, to Buddy Knight and Anne Strickland Knight and resided in the Golden Isles his entire life. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Valdosta State University for Computer Science and was employed as an IT Specialist at Southeast Georgia Health System. Jim was a member of the Coastal Planes RC Club and loved the comradery of flying and racing remote control vehicles. His other great passion was rescuing and fostering animals, especially dogs.

Jim is survived by his son, Frankie Horton (Christina) of Santa Rosa Beach, step-brother, Kevin Knight (Lisa), two nephews, Ryan (Hannah), Brayden, two nieces, Kasey, Kerri, and canine companion, Lady. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and a step-brother, Michael Knight (Crystal). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim's honor to Castaways Pet Rescue,11659 GA Hwy 99, Darien, GA 31305.
