Pastor Joel Wayne Longshore, 82, of Brunswick, GA, passed away from injuries received in an auto accident in the early hours of April 9, 2026.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 12:00 noon, at The Revival Center Church of Christ of Apolistic Faith, 5563 New Jesup Highway, Brunswick, GA 31523.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, from 6:30 until 8:00pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel, 5951 Golden Isles Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.  A committal service with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Rest Lawn Cemetery, 2098 Mooty Bridge Road, LaGrange, GA 30241.

Pastor Longshore was born December 12, 1943, LaGrange, and had lived in Brunswick for the past 45 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam.  and was a traveling songwriter and musician prior to being led to the ministry, opening Revival Center Church in 1981.  He was a man of many talents which included auto mechanics, fishing on his pontoon boat with his family, Missionary work in Haiti, where he was active in building a church and a school, and was also a licensed insurance agent working with several insurance agencies over the years.

a brother, Robert A. Longshore, Jr. (Patricia) of Hogansville, GA
grandchildren; Waynna Kelly Shellnut (Tony), Amanda Kelley (Brandon), Angela Mills, Holly Tucker, Johnny Miller, Amber Smith (David), Mariam "Faith" Brown, Ashlynn C. Belcher (Joel), Wesley K Benton, II (Destiny), Avery J Benton (Roxanne), Mark 'Allan' Hopper, II, Joel 'Aaron' Hopper, Payton L Hopper, Cameron E Hopper, Jonathan B Hopper, Marissa J Hopper, Emma C Hopper, Arianna J Hopper, Gaile Raine Buras, Danaka C Buras, and numerous  great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
